          Barbados is an island located in the Lesser Antilles, about 270 miles northeast of Venezuela, or 1,612 miles southeast of Miami. Though it is small, being about twice the size of Boston, or ⅛ the size of Rhode Island, it has many different regions, like Saint Lucy or Christ Church. Unlike some larger countries, the terrain in Barbados is mostly flat, other than Mount Hillaby, standing at 1,122 feet, being the tallest point in Barbados. Underground, two of Barbados’ most popular tourist attractions, Cole’s Cave and Harrison Cave can be found. Harrison Cave goes 160 feet down, and has 3 entrances. Barbados doesn’t really have that many rivers, mainly gullies and waterways, but it has two main rivers for fishing, being the Indian River and Jose River. It also has 2 important bays near the most south of the island, being the Oistins Bay and Carlistle Bay. The land area of Barbados is about 430 square kilometers, or 166 square miles. The temperature ranges from 65 to 89 degrees fahrenheit, and 77 degrees on average. Its climate is tropical or rainforest, and they get about 60 inches of rain annually. It is very humid, being close to the equator, and the weather is pretty consistent. Some major cities include Holetown, Speightstown, The Crane, and Crab Hill. Some other important places include, north point, south point, and harrison point. They also have coral reefs.
